THE #ENDSARS PROTEST AND MY CONCERNS

#ENDSARS PROMOTERS ARE INVITED TO NOTE:

1. That they should advocate  for negotiations with government rather than this approach of protest that have potential to resulting into violence.

2. That it is in the books of history that in all dealings with governments and sovereignties worldwide and throughout all history, including wars, everything ends on the negotiating table.

3. That this protest will no doubt begin to lose citizens support due to continued inconvenience and collosal lose to the economy.

4. That the entire #ENDSARS promoters should further  note that the government has demonstrated readiness to address virtually all your demands and it is evident they have also adopted a policy of non interference with the protests across all boards.

5. That what is happening in the country now is not sufficient enough to force givernment but it is enough to make it consider and oblige. We should not for once imagine that the #ENDSARS  have cowed government. It takes much more than is  happening now to do so. SUPPOSED ACTION

1. Provided that the government keep accepting the demand by #ENDSARS  protesters, they fail to apply force or try to stop the protesters, then the otherside of civil society will very soon react especially when their daily bread, existence and wellbeing begin to be threatened.  They will make a turn around, and it will surely  become violence. Thereby giving the government a clear cut reason to interven and stop the entire activity.

2. We urge the #ENDSARS protesters to prepare to go to the table with the authorities who are already primed to be receptive. Hence the need to have a leadership structure and a well articulated compilation of its demands which must be comprehensive and addressing all areas where leadership and government have failed over the years. They should highlight what can be achieved via legislation and through executive orders and administrative changes.

3. There should be leadership widely accepted otherwise the government will have reasons to surprise it on legal grounds.

CONCLUSION : The #ENDSARS Protest have the potential to make or mar Nigeria. Hence the need to avoid too much of partisan     politics but rather tilting towards more realistic issues that are of concern to all.
